Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This April, I’ll be taking on the Brighton Marathon in support of the incredible Maggie’s Centres — and to make it even more special, It will be my 50th Birthday in April too. What better way to celebrate…..by attempting my very first full marathon!
I’m a keen runner and regularly run shorter distances, but completing a marathon has always been on my bucket list. The last race I entered was the Oxford Half Marathon in 2019, so this is a big step up — especially with only 8 weeks to train!
Maggie’s is an amazing charity that provides free practical and emotional support to people living with cancer and their families. This cause is very close to my heart as Maggie’s supported my dear friend Jen and her wonderful mum, Martha, during an incredibly difficult time. Jen described Maggie’s as “a great support for us both, helping us navigate a very difficult time.” She particularly remembers attending a workshop together where a professional makeup artist shared tips for coping with hair loss during chemotherapy — something she said “felt like something I could do for Mum.”
I am so proud to run in support of this special charity. Every mile will be for families like Jen and Martha’s.
If you are able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. Your support will help Maggie’s continue to be there for those who need them most.
Thank you so much.
