On Sunday May 10th I will be helping Future Dreams, the Breast Cancer Charity, celebrate a remarkable milestone - five years since the opening of Future Dreams House, by walking 20k along the Thames towpath.

I am also celebrating 5 years of clear scans myself since my own Stage 4 incurable Breast Cancer diagnosis 6 years ago. I’m not even sure of my capability of finishing as I’ve got a bit of neuropathy in my feet from all the chemo I’ve had, but I’m up for the challenge!

As an ambassador for this amazing charity I can tell you about the help the House gives to breast cancer patients, more and more every year. But it’s now recognised by the NHS as a major support giver and they recommend it to patients. I know this as it appeared on my latest clinical letter from the hospital ! My husband goes to the partners’ supporters group at the House and gets a lot of comfort and advice from it.

I haven’t done anything like this since Brownies but it’s going to be great day celebrating resilience and community and raising vital funds to keep Future Dreams House running, so please support me if you can 🙏 thank you X
