I (Jacs) first met James when he was working in the international development sector, and it was clear from the very beginning that he wasn’t someone who simply wanted to support vulnerable communities from a distance. His passion ran much deeper. He dreamed of creating a charity that would allow him to live alongside those who were most at risk—offering not just aid, but hope, dignity, and the chance of a life they had never been able to experience.
From his own savings, determination, and lived experience, James founded what is known today as Laughter Africa.
