Story
This September, I am taking on the Folkestone Half Marathon, aiming to raise £10,000 for the brilliant Working Options, an employability and life skills charity helping 14-19 year-olds across England and Wales aim high and fulfil their career potential by developing the confidence, skills and networks they need – regardless of background. I’ve seen the impact of their work first-hand through our partnership at GP Bullhound and Allstars.
Every penny goes to a brilliant cause, and your added encouragement will help power me through the final miles. 💪
Thank you for your support, and please feel free to share this within your networks to help me reach this ambitious (but impactful) target.
The need is huge right now. Nearly 1 million young people in the UK are not in education, employment, or training (that’s 1-in-8). Many have never met someone in the kind of job they might want – or even know those roles exist.
Working Options is changing that. Their free, employer-led programmes connect young people to real careers and role models. And the results of four or more employer engagements speak for themselves:
86% more likely to be in work, education or training
Up to 22% higher earnings
90% of teachers say these sessions improve academic attainment
And, at just £6.80 per student, your donation will go a long way.
