Jade's fundraiser for The Rumba Animal Cancer Foundation

Jade Harding is raising money for The Rumba Animal Cancer Foundation

Running a half marathon · 28 March 2026

Animal cancer has a devastating effect on pets and their families. Our founders, Jim and Fiona Hindle lost their Burmese cat, Rumba, to cancer at a young age. In 2012, they established the Rumba Foundation (now the Rumba Animal Cancer Foundation) to create a positive legacy for Rumba, and ensure every pet has the best chance of a happy and healthy life. Our mission is to transform veterinary oncology in partnership with AURA Veterinary - a world-leading centre of excellence in animal oncology and soft tissue. This collaboration will deliver groundbreaking clinical research and treatment. Together, we will push forward the frontiers of cancer care in animals. "Rumba is helping change veterinary oncology, no question" (Prof Nick Bacon, Clinical Director, AURA Veterinary

Story

On 28th March, I’ll be running my first ever half marathon to raise money for an incredible animal cancer charity that gives 100% of all funds directly to the cause.

This run is very personal to me. My beautiful 9-year-old baby, Winnie, was recently diagnosed with sarcoma and begins treatment on 26th March.

Watching a pet go through cancer is heartbreaking, but charities like this help provide vital support, treatment, and hope for animals and their families. By running this half marathon, I hope to raise funds that can help other pets receive the care they deserve.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and go directly to helping animals battling cancer.

If you’re able to donate or share this, it would mean the world to us and to Winnie.

Thank you so much for your support ❤️
