Story
Hello! My name is Jade, and this August I'll be running the Scottish Half Marathon alongside my family and friends in support of the Women’s Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (WRASAC).
WRASAC is a Dundee & Angus based organisation that supports women affected by sexual violence, and over the past few years they have supported me too.
They provided one-to-one support sessions, helping me unpack what happened in an incredibly safe environment and have stood by me throughout an entire reporting and court process. Having a compassionate, familiar face during such overwhelming moments meant more than I will ever be able to put into words.
WRASAC has given me a safe space. They are a team I know I can always reach out to for help or advice and be met with so much care and understanding. Their patience, compassion, and unwavering support have made an incredible difference in my life.
I have so much gratitude for this organisation. To the whole team, and especially those who have worked so closely with me, thank you.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to my family and friends who are running alongside me, helping to fundraise, and those who have supported me.
And to anyone reading this, whether you’re sharing or donating, it truly means so much. Thank you!
