Story
Hello! My name is Jade, and this August I’ll be running the Scottish Half Marathon alongside my family and friends in support of the Women’s Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (WRASAC).
WRASAC is a Dundee & Angus based organisation that supports women affected by sexual violence, and over the past couple of years they have supported me too.
They have provided one-to-one support sessions that have helped me unpack what happened and begin to move forward. They have also stood by me throughout an entire reporting and court process. Having a compassionate and familiar face during such overwhelming moments has meant more than I can put into words.
WRASAC has given me a safe space, somewhere I can go when everything feels heavy. They are a team I know I can always reach out to for help or advice and be met with genuine care and understanding. Their patience, compassion, and unwavering support have made an incredible difference in my life.
I have so much gratitude for this organisation. To the whole team, and especially those who have worked so closely with me, thank you. Your kindness and dedication mean more than I can ever fully express.
I’d also like to say a huge thank you to my family and friends who are running alongside me, helping to fundraise, and those who have supported me every step of the way.
And to anyone reading this, whether you’re sharing or donating, it truly means so much. Thank you.
