Masquerade Ball in remembrance of Amanda McLellan

Masquerade Ball · 6 October 2023
Thank you very much for visiting my Just Giving page, it means more to me than you will ever know.
On Friday 6th October, 2023 I will be hosting a Masquerade Ball in memory of my best friend Amanda McLellan. Who sadly passed away on 29th August 2022. For the past year, I myself have suffered from Mental Health and this is genuinely something I may not have considered in the past. It is such a huge, unspoken topic. And my eyes have been widened to people's ignorance and uneducated views on Mental Health. It is 2023 and about time our society done more.
I will do everything in my power to raise awareness and raise funds to help charities such as Mental Health UK. Our NHS is flooded with waiting lists at the moment and to be honest when it comes to Mental Health; charities are the back bone. They provide support, education, help and many other ways of helping someone in a time of need. They have 24 hour access for people to reach out when required, which is actually amazing.
Let's not leave this any longer for when people are at breaking point. Let's be educated to know how to help one another, to listen and be there. Someone being there for another is the most supportive thing you could possibly ever do.
I have worked hand in hand with charities who personally helped me at a time of need. I also recently participated in a research study for Mental Health UK.
My goal here is to help people who are afraid to ask for it. To raise awareness that if you aren't ok, then there is people out there who are willing to help or listen. It is so important that you know this.
Masquerade Ball will be held at Christ The King Chapel Hall, G44 5AP. 19:30 to late. For anyone who wants to offer services for raffle prizes, that would be highly appreciated. You can get in touch with myself via email or direct telephone; jamckenna1993@hotmail.co.uk 07557261224.
I ask that people donate £10 per person to this page in order to attend. All funds will go towards Mental Health UK.
"SOMETIMES IT'S NOT THE PERSON THAT CHANGES. IT'S THE MASK THAT FALLS OFF."
All my love
Jade
