Edinburgh Kiltwalk 2024 · 15 September 2024 ·

Doctors and scientists at the Euan MacDonald Centre for Motor Neuron Disease Research undertake vital research into motor neuron disease (MND); a condition that causes muscle weakness and paralysis, difficulty speaking, swallowing and breathing.

Story

Team ACENS 21 are taking part in ‘The Mighty Stride’ – the longest of three walks that make up #KiltwalkEdinburgh. Our 21 mile walk starts at 9:30am from Holyrood Park and proceeds through Newcraighall onto Fisherrow Links and then hugs the coast along Edinburgh’s Promenade, before turning inland to head towards the finish at Murrayfield Stadium.

The team are Debbie Sturrock, Gillian Morgan, Helen Wright, Louise McLeod, Jade O'Donnell and Michelle Hawkes.

We have chosen the Mighty Stride as it's route is 21 miles and we are doing this to raise money for the Euan MacDonald Centre, Euan has had MND for 21 years so it seems a fitting challenge.

Your donation will help them find treatments to slow, stop and reverse the effects of MND.

All donations are processed through the University of Edinburgh Development Trust before going directly to the Euan MacDonald Centre.

Please donate to our JustGiving page.

Thank you very much.
