Story
I’m taking part in the Pendle Pub Walk 2026 – a 13-mile circular walk through the stunning Pendle countryside – to help raise vital funds for Pendleside Hospice.
Now in its 17th year, this fantastic community event brings together over 2,000 walkers, with local pubs along the route serving as welcoming checkpoints. Organised by Pendleside Hospice and Burnley Pendleside Rotary Club, and kindly sponsored by Alderson and Horan Funeral Services, it’s always a brilliant day out for an incredible cause.
Pendleside Hospice provides compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses, supporting not only patients but also their families and carers. Their work focuses on improving quality of life through specialist care that meets physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
It costs around £6.4 million each year to run the hospice, with only about 20% coming from funding. That means donations and community support are absolutely essential.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean a great deal and help make a real difference 💛
