Story
I am taking on the WTW London Grand Union Canal Trek (26km), walking against suicide this October, in aid of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
In addition to the WTW event, I am taking on a personal challenge, the New York City Marathon (42km) in November. I haven't ran a marathon in over 10 years, and am excited/apprehensive for this big event.
CALM is a suicide prevention charity on a mission to help people end their misery not their lives. Right now, someone in the UK takes their own life every 90 minutes. CALM exists to change this.
They run a life-saving helpline for anyone affected by suicide or suicidal thoughts, and their website is packed with tools and resources to make talking and managing mental health easier.
They also run vital campaigns to increase awareness, smash stereotypes, and change the culture around mental health and suicide.
But they can't do it alone. Just £12.20 could answer a life saving call to CALM's suicide prevention helpline. Help me save lives today.
