Story
On the 4th of June, Jade and I are taking on the Aberdeen Kiltwalk together to raise money for our fellow amputees. We met back in 2018 when Jade was 6 and have been pals ever since. We’re very excited for our first challenge together.
In 2013, I had a 5% chance of survival after suffering acute pneumonia and sepsis. The surgeons had to amputate both my hands and legs below the knee. In 2014, I started Finding Your Feet Charity to support amputees just like Jade. She's also a quadruple amputee after contracting meningococcal septicaemia when she was two.
Nothing stops her fighting spirit. As well as coming to our cycling clubs, she's also been skating, hoverboarding, and best of all, became the youngest-ever athlete to compete in the ISA World Para Surf Championships in California, representing Scotland. I can't wait to take the Kiltwalk on with her!
About Finding Your Feet Charity:
We help families affected by amputation or limb absence with activities, services and support to benefit fitness, mental health and personal growth. We are a lifeline for the amputee community.
By donating to our page, you’ll not only give us the motivation needed to complete the challenge but you’ll also be transforming and saving lives.
Thank you in advance,
Jade & Cor
