The Jaggy Eagle

Firhill Stadium to Selhurst Park
The Jaggy Eagle
During the lockdown of 2020, my good friend Hugh Porter, decided to cycle round 12 football grounds in London to raise money for Lymphoma Action, the charity that had supported him throughout his ongoing cancer treatment. Over 30 of us joined him, most of us, myself included, hadn’t been on a bike since we were teenagers. He raised over £25,000.
2 years ago Hugh succumbed to his illness.
On July 18th, it will 5 years since the ‘Round the Grounds’ and to celebrate and remember Hugh, I’m cycling between the two clubs that Hugh supported, Partick Thistle in Glasgow & Crystal Palace in South London from the 14th to 18th of July, starting and stopping at various football grounds on the way down.
475 miles over 5 days…… The Jaggy Eagle.
