In March 2023 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour when I suffered a tonic clonic seizure. Since then I have had 3 cranial surgeries and have just begun radiotherapy. It took me a while to feel able to look outside my family for help, and was so lucky to find Brainstrust. I have made use of their many branches of help, and have discovered a true love of focus groups. The ability to talk of my experience has helped me to view it with less fear. I also look forward to the monthly online meet up to speak with others in my situation and get advice or provide my own insights, making all the pain endured feel not only valid but beneficial.

The creators of this event (Pete and Jo) are Superman fans and with the new release of Superman we are going to do a Superman movie marathon weekend on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd August 2025.

Many of our brain tumour community members cannot join physical fundraising events. This is a fully accessible challenge that anyone can take part in from home – a feat of movie marathoning of 5 films to raise vital funds!

(A watch party is when we watch the same film at the same time in your own homes. We cannot provide a stream so you need to get access to the films yourself).
