Story
Me and Mum are taking on a huge challenge this October for her 50th Birthday. We will be trekking to Everest Base Camp in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The trip is entirely self funded by us so all the money we raise will go directly to charity.
We've chosen to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust because the work they do means a great deal to us. The charity invests donations directly into vital research, helping to develop more effective treatments and improve the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis (CF). We also want to raise awareness of CF as many people are unaware of the significant impact it has on those living with it.
Trekking to Everest Base Camp will be a very tough challenge with oxygen levels at base camp roughly half of what they are at sea level, making simple movements and tasks incredibly difficult. Whilst this will only last a short time for us, many people living with CF face difficulties like this, and more, every day.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated. If you're not able to donate please share our page and help us raise awareness.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition that affects more than 11,000 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.
Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.
Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis. You can find out more information about CF on their website https://www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk/
