Story
On the 20th of June 2026, I will be taking on the challenge of competing in the Abersoch Olympic Triathlon to raise money for the Fighting to Be Heard Foundation — a charity that is incredibly close to the heart of one of my colleagues and their family.
This charity was chosen for a very personal reason. My colleague’s daughter has battled breast cancer, and throughout that journey the Fighting to Be Heard Foundation provided unwavering support, encouragement, and care during some of the hardest moments imaginable. Their help made a real difference, not only medically and practically, but emotionally too.
What makes this charity even more remarkable is that it is run entirely by volunteers — compassionate people dedicating their time to supporting women who have suffered from breast cancer, and in many heartbreaking cases, women who have faced the disease not just once, but twice.
The work they do gives strength, hope, and a sense of community to families going through extremely difficult times. They ensure that no woman has to face that journey alone.
To support this amazing cause, I will be pushing myself through the 1.5k swim,40km bike ride, finishing with a 10km run. Every mile completed will be for the women and families who continue to fight every single day.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be hugely appreciated and will go towards helping the Fighting to Be Heard Foundation continue the incredible work they do supporting women affected by breast cancer.
Thank you for your support.
