We raise money for children with cancer to improve their quality of life

Story

A lot of people know about my cardiac arrest in 2018 running Hastings half. I have ran that race twice since hitting much better times then the time I almost lost my life. I have had abit of an identity/purpose crisis over the last year especially dealing with survivors guilt and not feeling like I have a purpose with my life. Over the last few days it’s hit me that my purpose is to raise as much money for charity as I can doing lots of different things but this will be the first one. I have raised money before doing half’s but 3 half’s within a month and the first being a week after my CrossFit comp will be tough but more than capable of doing it. I have raised money for the heart foundation to do with my dads passing and at Michaels hospice in the past too. I have no personal connection to the charity that I’m running for but I have seen the amazing work they’re doing so I’d like to help out and do what I can. Any donation will be amazing ❤️

About the charity

CWCF was set up in 1998 by Ursula & Chris Downton with Kirsty & James Denny. Now, with the help of other friends and family, we still go out having fun raising funds to grant wishes to families that live in East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and who have children that have been diagnosed with cancer.
