Story
Join me on my marathon journey to make a difference for a cause close to my heart – supporting 'mynewhair,' a charity that played a pivotal role in my mum's battle against breast cancer.
Losing hair can be a deeply emotional experience, especially for those undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Some choose to embrace their natural appearance, while others opt for wigs. However, the fear of looking unnatural can be a significant concern to many.
In 2018, my mum faced the daunting diagnosis of breast cancer, and the ensuing treatments lead to the loss of her hair. It was an incredibly tough time for all the family, however 'mynewhair' came to mum's aid. Offering not only access to high-quality wigs, but also a compassionate support system.
This incredible charity not only provides invaluable information and guidance on navigating the challenges of hair loss but also connects individuals with a network of responsibly trained hairdressers and salons. The transformative impact of a professionally cut and styled wig cannot be overstated – it's a source of confidence, strength, and a reminder of resilience.
Now, I am lacing up my running shoes and running the TCS London Marathon on April 27th to give back to this extraordinary charity.
Your support can help 'mynewhair' continue their crucial work, providing comfort and empowerment to those navigating the challenges of hair loss.
Together, let's make a lasting impact and help others find strength in their journey.
Every donation brings us one step closer to making a difference for individuals facing the profound impact of hair loss. Thank you for joining me in supporting 'mynewhair'.
