Supporters from the Bridge the Gap Community are tackling the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 Hours, climbing the three tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales!

Story

This year, I am competing in the Bridge the Gap Three Peaks Challenge. I will be climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) in 24 hours.

BTG is a national charity creating a community, through football, that supports men of all ages and backgrounds. We launched BTG in Leeds just over a year ago and this year we have already had over 1200 players join our weekly sessions. Our aim is that each player leaves feeling encouraged and knowing they have a group of lads that are rooting for them.

Why Support?

BTG are tackling a Mental health Crisis

Suicide is the main cause of death in young people under the age of 35 in the UK. Loneliness is a silent pandemic in this age group, with 25% of them admitting to having no close friends.

BTG are creating role models

A lack of the right kind of role models can be crippling as young people become adults, start careers and families but are unable to see a different way of doing life. Jesus is the ultimate role model. Churches are uniquely equipped to draw alongside young people, helping them to navigate the turbulent journey into adulthood. BTG exists to bridge that gap - meeting people where they are at.
