Story
As many of you know, I’ve taken part in several events to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research and the Beatson charities. Just last year, I ran the Race for Life, ran an athletics event with my team in support of cancer research, and completed a half marathon for the Beatson.
After these events, I felt ready for a new challenge — something that would really push me out of my comfort zone and help raise even more money for these incredible causes.
That’s why I’m currently in training camp, hoping to be selected for Gaff’s Dundee Fight Night on the 27th of March at Live House Dundee.
Cancer has had a massive impact on my family, as it has for so many others. I was just four years old when my mum was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer at the age of 34. Thankfully, she fought incredibly hard, beat cancer, and is here today to tell her story.
Last year, our family faced cancer again when my Aunt Elaine was diagnosed with early-stage pancreatic cancer. Sadly, her illness progressed to stage 4, and on 30th March 2025, she lost her battle and passed away.
This is why I’m so determined to keep fighting back against cancer in any way I can. I’ll never stop raising money, spreading awareness, and doing everything possible to support these charities that mean so much to me and my family.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to me and my family. Every penny makes a difference in the fight against cancer. Thank you so much for your support.
