Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

A load of us Hospitality lot are training for 8 weeks solid.

Leading us upto the main event on Monday August 18th 2025.

My chosen Charity is Melanoma UK.

These guys are close to my heart with regards to my dad!

Around 17/18 years ago my dad had a mole on his thigh that he thought nothing of.

After him being a reluctant "tough guy dad" attitude he left it.

Turns out it was Melanoma.

I don't have much memory for it apart from going to see him in the hospital to see him, where as you can imagine he put on a brave face if I was there.

He was in and out The Christie in Manchester for months with treatment and constant check ups.

He's still here and fighting for to this day (after another 2 rounds of cancer after being given the all clear after Melanoma)

Don't quote me on this but I have a vague memory of a new medicine that they were trailing on people with Melanoma, and he was one of the first people to trial it in the country.

Not too sure what it was called as I was very young.

He was given a rough 30% chance of living, and please excuse my language here, he basically said "F**k it, why not?"

Luckily for us because of that he's still here being my biggest inspiration.

(And taking the mickey out of me most days).
