Guild Care is a fantastic local charity that supports older people, carers, and children and adults with learning disabilities. They run care homes, dementia services, day centres, and community projects that make a real difference to people across Worthing and the surrounding area.

As I haven’t really ridden a bike in the past ten years, I’d love to have a few quid thrown my way to make this 60-miler worth the pain of that Monday morning wake-up for work.

I’ve completed one 12km ride in preparation, mainly to make sure my newly purchased Facebook Marketplace bike didn’t fall apart (thanks to Dad for the procurement – he didn’t trust me with his own bike).

The only story I’ve heard about this event is someone whose bike broke 8km from the finish and who had to pick it up and run the rest. Looking forward to that.

The start time is 7am in London, which feels like a challenge in itself – surely worth a fiver for a good cause.
