Jake's Head Shaving for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably)

Jake Walters is raising money for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably)

Head Shaving · 3 July 2026

UKSE are joining the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) in their movement against suicide, the leading cause of death for 125 people every week in the UK and the single biggest killer of men under 50 and young people in the UK.

Story

On 3rd July I will be shaving my head for Charity. All the hair will be donated to Little Princess Trust and any monetary donations will go to CALM.

The event will be happening at Cardiff Bay Business Centre and you are all welcome to come along and participate (or laugh)

As part of UKSE, I am supporting the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) who are taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling rubbish, standing up to stereotypes, and standing together to show life is always worth living.

125 lives are lost every week to suicide. Suicide is now the leading cause of death for people aged 15-39, and men under the age of 50 in the UK. CALM exists to change this.

CALM do it by provoking conversation, running life-saving services, and bringing people together so they reject living miserably, get help when they need it and don't die by suicide.
