Story
I am running the London Marathon 2026 in loving memory of my grandad, who passed away in October 2024.
This will be an especially meaningful run as I'll be doing it alongside my sister, with us both running side by side every step of the way.
In his final weeks, my grandad was cared for by the incredible team at Havens Hospices. To say they were amazing is an understatement.
From the moment he arrived, they didn't just care for his physical needs, they cared for him as a person. They made sure he was comfortable, everything he needed was never too much, and that he was surrounded by peace.
Havens Hospices didn't just care for him—they cared for all of us. The support they gave us as a family was a incredible. They allowed us to focus on being a family, on spending those precious last moments with my grandad, without the burden of constant worry. They truly could not have done more and I will forever be thankful for everything they did for my grandad.
My grandad passed away in October 2024 whilst being surrounded by us. I will never forget this and the pain and sadness it brought. The comfort of knowing he was cared for with such compassion and grace is something I will be forever grateful for.
Now, it's my turn to give back. I'm running this race in his memory, to raise money for Havens Hospices so they can continue their vital work. Every single pound raised will help another family get the same level of care that we received. It will help ensure that another grandad, another mum, another friend, can be looked after with the same dignity and love.
I am so thankful for the team at Havens to give me this opportunity to run for them and raise money for such an amazing cause.
Please, if you can, donate to my page. Your support means the world to me, and it will make an such a difference to those who need it most. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your support.
