For over 30 years the Israel Guide Dog Centre has been providing trained guide dogs to help blind and visually impaired people have a better quality of life. More recently we have expanded our operations to providing service dogs to people with PTSD and emotional support dogs to children with autism

Story

For the people of Israel and Jewish communities worldwide, life following 7th October will never be the same.

In the early hours of that morning, Jake Marlowe, a North London musician and former JFS pupil, was working security at the Nova music festival. When terrorists attacked the festival, Jake heroically helped evacuate and save lives, tragically losing his own in the process.

Jake understood the unique bond between humans and dogs and how their unwavering loyalty and support can transform lives. His family shared how much dogs meant to him and the joy they brought into his life.

Now, more than ever, the incredible impact of these animals is being felt in Israel. Specially trained dogs are providing vital support to those suffering from PTSD, helping to reduce anxiety, ease nightmares, and bring moments of peace to people facing unimaginable trauma. Inspired by Jake’s love for dogs, we are raising funds to sponsor guide dogs named in Jake’s memory through The Israel Guide Dog Centre. These superhero dogs are truly life-changing, offering hope and healing in the wake of immense pain.

Thanks to generous sponsorship, we have already raised over £3,000 to name a guide dog in Jake’s memory. With your support, we hope to grow Jake’s legacy by sponsoring another life-changing puppy, named Woody, in honour of the incredible Borehamwood vigil community that has provided strength and support to the Marlowes. Woody will bring light and hope to those he helps. Please give generously to help us reach our goal of £6,000.

Thank you for your support.
