265 Mile Challenge for PCD Support UK

Jake Waine is raising money for PCD Support UK

Team: 100G for PCD

Running 265 miles in Sept & Oct · 1 September 2026

We are PCD Support UK. We’re here for those affected by PCD, we talk about PCD as widely as possible and we champion research to improve its diagnosis, management and treatment. Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia is a rare, genetic disease (1 in 15,000 people), causing recurrent respiratory infections.

Story

Recovering from my stroke taught me how far I can push myself to my absolute limits. While I'm preparing for my 100km continuous march for The Stroke Association next year, this September and October are entirely dedicated to supporting Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD)—a rare genetic condition affecting the lungs and airways.

Inspired by Owen, who lives with PCD, I’m taking on 426.4km (265 miles) over 61 days starting September 1st—averaging nearly 30 miles a week.

Every mile is dedicated to Owen and the PCD community. Any support or shares are hugely appreciated!
