Once again I am dragging myself along the Thames for hours on end every week to train up for the London Marathon.

This year I am supporting the Reed's Foundation, a wonderful cause close to my heart in its support for access to education for disadvantaged children. For over 200 years (!) the Reed’s School Foundation has been working with underprivileged children to help inspire confidence, give them hope and allow them to realise their potential through excellent educational provision, wonderful pastoral support and many many aspirational activities.

It is easy to forget how lucky and privileged many of us are, and I for one feel that with this comes a responsibility to support others who are not as lucky. So I really hope to be able to raise a meaningful amount for this worthwhile cause, and I am sure I will feel proud of it along the 26 miles (in particular the bit after Canary Wharf when it gets tough!).
