After the excitment of watching the Manchester marathon in 2023, my children cheering on the runners, I decided "I could do that". Fast forward 1 year, and again lots of excitment on the 14th April 2024, however this time, friends and family came together to watch a tired and sweaty me put one foot infront of the the other. Somehow i managed to finish and was rewarded with a shiny medal and sore legs. Coupling my success with a fun filled school trip the day after (volunteered as parent helper by the wonderful wife!), it made me want to raise some cash for them. My 2 daughters attend Cloverlea and if my pain of running a marathon could generate some cash from you amazing people then it was definately worth it. I ran the marathon to prove to myself i could do it (feeling of achievement and self-worth) but i also know the school works just as hard everyday teaching and supporting my children.

The school has dedicated staff and and excellent PTA and i know any monies recieved would be used to support the building blocks of our childrens primary years.

To help the school/PTA reach their fundraising goals i will also be running the Manchester Half Marathon later in the year.
