Edinburgh Marathon 2025 · 25 May 2025 ·

The Brain Tumour Charity's Edinburgh Marathon Festival team are ready to run towards a better future for everyone diagnosed with a brain tumour. We can't wait to take on the weekend because a cure can't wait!

Story

On 25th May, I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity.

As I lace up my shoes and prepare for the inevitable wind and rain in bonny Scotland, it will be almost four years to the day that my mother-in-law, Caroline, died from a brain tumour after a 10-year battle. I have seen first-hand the impact of the charity’s incredible work, providing support to affected individuals and their families. The charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Brain tumours affect adults and children, and are the leading cause of childhood cancer deaths in the UK.

I will be running in memory of Caroline, and raising money to help prevent other families from losing a loved one. I would be very grateful for any donations, however big or small.

Thank you for your support!
