I am cycling in memory of Avril Bantock — a much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and to me, a dear friend, mentor, and second mother. Avril passed away peacefully on 19th August 2025 at Farleigh Hospice, after a long illness which she faced with remarkable courage and her wonderful sense of humour.

Her family and I will be forever grateful to Farleigh Hospice and their dedicated, compassionate staff for the exceptional care and support they gave to Avril and all of us during her final journey.
