Mount Toubkal Trek 2025 (George Eliot Hospital) · 17 April 2025

Our mission is to work together with donors , staff, community, and partners to enhance care and wellbeing, fund innovative equipment, improve patient experience, and foster a positive environment where compassionate care thrives.

Story

The George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust Charitable Fund provides funding for the George Eliot Hospital and help provide improved facilities, vital new equipment and important research to enhance the care and treatment of our patients. We also provide funding to help staff well-being, training and create a better working environment.

The funds raised from the Mount Toubkal Trek will go to the “Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth's George Eliot Hospital Breast Care Unit Appeal”, to support the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust to provide excellent care to our patients and their families, provide funding for life-changing and life-saving equipment, and to develop staff wellbeing at the Breast Care Unit.

About the trek:

Inspired by this year’s successful Trek to Mount Toubkal, the George Eliot Hospital Charity is delighted to announce our 2nd Mount Toubkal Trek.

Set in the High Atlas Mountain range in Morocco, Mount Toubkal is the highest peak in North Africa and the Arab world. During the Trek you will be able to catch the sunrise at the summit with views over the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert.

Mount Toubkal stands 13,671ft (4,167m) above sea level and commands superb views of the High Atlas Mountains. The trek passes through impressive landscapes on well-defined paths, dramatic views towards Marrakech and the Anti-Atlas Mountains. As you pass through remote villages, terraced fields, and waterfalls, you will gain an insight into the life of the friendly Amazigh people.

Taking place on Thursday 17th April 2025 till Monday 21st April 2025
