James's fundraiser for Saracens Sport Foundation

Coast to Coast in a Day. 150 Miles from Seascale to Whitby · 22 June 2024
On Saturday 22nd June, I'm taking on the challenge of riding coast to coast (243 Kilometres) in a day. The challenge takes in nearly 5000 metres of ascent starting at Seascale in Cumbria.
I’ll be riding through 3 national parks cycling 2 demanding Lake District passes, then on to the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors and finishing at Whitby. The charity I'm doing it for is amazing.
My support crew - consisting of my pal John Howe is also amazing and without him I couldn't do the ride.
John and I work together at Chessbrook ESC, an outstanding educational support centre for students who get extra support through mentoring by the Saracens Foundation.
The Saracens Foundation was founded in 2000 and delivers projects in North London and Hertfordshire using sport as a tool for positive change.
The Foundation works with the most socially-isolated groups in the community, from primary school children to the over-50s, disabled groups to young offenders to make a long lasting positive impact. The programmes focus on improving the health and wellbeing, breaking down barriers to participation, and bettering the education and employability of our beneficiaries.
They have made a lasting positive impact on our young people so every mile or kilometre and every pound and pence will help to support them.
Thanks so much for your backing and support - I'll train hard and together we can raise some money for a very good cause.
