Story
Hello,
On the 24th of May I am running the Great West Run Half Marathon and having initially set out to achieve a personal target of completing the race have realised it would be a wasted opportunity to not fundraise along the way.
Why Prostate Cancer UK?
Nearly 5 years ago I lost my Dad to prostate cancer. In a twist of dark irony, on the 4th anniversary of his death the UK Screening Committee advised against a national screening programme for prostate cancer. A UK screening programme would have meant my Dad had access to treatment earlier, by the time he was diagnosed it was too late for him. That doesn’t mean it should too late for others.
