A lot of you will know about Rach’s successful battle against the big C coming on 6 years ago now, but since then we have had some close friends and family who have had a similar battle. Some have won, some have lost and some are still fighting.

Running through all of their individual stories is a largely invisible army of people on top of the NHS staff, who offer support and counsel to those affected, both directly and indirectly. Their work is invaluable and makes such a challenging time just a little bit easier.

We just wanted to do our bit to try and help them to keep helping others.

So we have come to the somewhat stupid decision to undertake the MacMillan Mighty Hike - a 26 mile hike up hill and down dale in the Yorkshire dales on the 28th June.
