An Overnight Magic: The Gathering Lock-In For Young Lives vs Cancer
On Saturday 26th, we’re staying up from 6pm until 8am for a huge Magic: The Gathering lock-in at GlassHammer.
Yes, that’s 14 hours of Magic. It may sound slightly ridiculous, but that’s part of the fun. It'll certainly give us something to brag about for years.
Throughout the night, there'll be:
Commander games
Drafts and tournaments
Table rotations
Prizes to be won
Far too much Magic to be sensible
Jess, who you'll know from organising the MtG nights at GlassHammer, might also be donating additional prizes for the night as an extra little surprise.
GlassHammer will be donating all the money raised during the event (such as entrance fees) to Young Lives vs Cancer. There's no extra fixed donation amount, so everyone can give whatever they feel comfortable giving.
We’ll have a brilliant, geeky night while supporting an incredibly important cause.
Why We’re Supporting Young Lives vs Cancer
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, life becomes full of fear for them and their family.
There is fear surrounding treatment. Families may also face separation, overwhelming money worries and uncertainty about where to turn.
Young Lives vs Cancer helps families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them.
Every day, another 12 children and young people receive the devastating news that they have cancer. Young Lives vs Cancer faces it all with them, but it cannot do that without support.
Whether you’re joining the lock-in or cheering us on from a sensible distance, please consider donating. Every contribution will help children, young people and their families face cancer together.
