The Challenge
This May, I'm swapping my desk chair for a bike saddle and taking on the CARTEN100 - a 100-mile cycling adventure from Cardiff to Tenby with my nephew William! For someone who spends most days debugging code rather than pedaling uphill, this is going to be... interesting.
The Journey
The CARTEN100 isn't a race (thank goodness), but it's certainly not a walk in the park either. 100 miles through the Welsh countryside means hills... lots of hills. My regular exercise involves walking to the coffee machine and back, so your support will literally help power me through each mile!
Why the RNLI?
Anyone who knows me knows two things: I love technology AND I love boats! As a software engineer by day and boat enthusiast whenever I get the chance, supporting the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is close to my heart. These incredible volunteers risk their lives in all conditions to save others at sea - they're the real heroes!
Your Support Makes Waves
Every pound you donate helps the RNLI continue their life-saving work. Your generosity means providing essential equipment and training for volunteer crews, maintaining the lifeboats that brave treacherous conditions.
