Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Next week sees James embark on his next adventure - this time returning to LEL 2025 (London-Edinburgh-London, on 2 wheels).

It's a crazy, thrilling adventure that sees him take on roughly 1500km of forward cycling and 13500m of climbing in around 128 hours.

It's also a lot of time outside.

About 15 hours cycling a day, his favourite BBC Weatherman, Thomasz Schafernaker, will be providing some insights on his LinkedIn page on what the great British summer will be throwing at him along the way. https://www.linkedin.com/in/james-doe-b7113876/

Plenty of sun block is packed to waterproof his skin against the expected horizontal sunshine.

He has done it before and it certainly plays to his strengths. Essentially it's a lot of sitting, eating and daydreaming and he confirms that he has had those key skills in his locker for a long time now!

So why the public display of activity?

This time he is looking to raise some money for an incredible charity and to raise awareness of all things 'Brain' related.

Awareness: He recently met Fredrick Bender who reminded him just how much awareness is still needed around mental health, especially amongst men, as they can often struggle to outwardly show any weakness or ask for help.

Fundraising: James has chosen Dementia UK as our family has had first hand experience of this very challenging illness and anything we can contribute to help make things better is money well spent.
