Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
To set the scene – Winchester Hospice is the only adult hospice in Winchester providing specialist palliative and end of life care to those with life-limiting illness and they rely heavily on fund raising to support their incredible work. Considering the many desperately sad stories that play out within the building, the staff continually make it the most amazing and inspirational positive setting for families and patients. With your support we can help them to continue the wonderful things that they do.
The team in Winchester are truly out of this world, in terms of what they do and how they give the most amazing care and support to families at some of their lowest points in their lives.
To say thank you for what they do for Winchester and the community i have decided to do a challenge to walk 1 million steps to raise money for this wonderful cause.
I will start my steps challenge on Thursday 5th October at the Winchester Hospice and finish at the Hospice on Monday 13th November . On average I will be walking a minimum of 26,000 a day to complete this challenge over 39 days.
I aim to complete the challenge by doing a minimum 25,000 steps per day everyday I am working and during my days off will do a long walk whether that is walking to Otterbourne and back from home to doing a walk to St Mary's Stadium on a home matchday to watch my favourite club Southampton play in the Sky Bet Championship as part of the challenge. I will also do it by taking the bus instead of Train and get off a few stops earlier than normal and walking to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital where i work.
So, if you are able to donate just a few pounds, to this worthy cause, then I would be hugely grateful <3
