Story
My name is James Gray and I have been given the opportunity to represent my local scout group in Canada during Summer 2025. I will be going with many other explorer scouts from my district and i will also get the chance to meet scouts from Canada whilst i’m there.
I have been involved in Scouting, since I was 6 years old. I enjoy Scouting because of the many opportunities and challenges it offers. Scouting enables me to both develop my independence and team working skills. I enjoy taking part in the many outdoor activities we do. Scouting has given me the chance to meet lots of new people and to try new things, and it allows me to make a worthwhile contribution to our local community.
When I go to Canada I hope to develop as a person. I am excited for the many activities we will do and to see a different part of the world.
To help raise money to be able to go to Canada, I will be taking part in the Dundee Kiltwalk on Sunday 11th August 2024, walking 21.9 miles in The Mighty Stride. I would be very grateful if you were able to make a donation to help me reach my fundraising target. Thank you for reading and thank you for your support.
