On the 18th November 2014, my beautiful mum Elizabeth Farrey passed away after a battle with an aggressive brain tumour.

It was a massive loss to myself, my brother, my sister, her friends and my family.

Being only 23 at the time, it seems like a lifetime ago now, but it was a pleasure to know the woman for those 23 years.

She was the life and soul of the party and extremely hard working, all whilst being a single parent. She taught me to never sweat the small stuff and to put yourself out there... hence why I am writing this from the other side of the world in Melbourne, Aus!

Next week marks the 10 year anniversary of her passing, and I have been thinking about things I can do which can raise a good amount of money, but also have a bit of fun in her honour - remembering her belter sense of humour.

One of the things she was worried about / not looking forward to, was losing her hair during the treatment...

She also loved movies, including one particular scene in the 40 year old Virgin, when Steve Carrell get waxed (for real).

So I am inviting my team, my clients, candidates AND my competitors to donate…and if you do, you'll be more than welcome to come rip some waxing strips off me in person, or someone in my team can do it for you. (The famous ginger beard and hair are off limits, everything else is up for grabs - my wife will be there for any NSFW waxing!)

This will be taking place in the JDP offices once we hit the target of $5,000 (hopefully), and we can have some fun with it.

Any amount is greatly appreciated and even the smallest donation helps, so don't be shy to spare even just a couple of $$.

BUT - the bigger the donation, the bigger the waxing strip and higher on the choice of location pecking order 👀🤣

All donations will be going towards the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.
