Story
This December, our group of everyday people are pushing ourselves to the limit - walking 27 miles (a full marathon) around Colchester to raise funds for the Colchester Women’s Refuge.
Why? Because while we’re lucky to have warmth, safety, and comfort at home, not everyone does.
The Women’s Refuge supports women and children escaping domestic abuse - giving them a safe place to stay, emotional and practical help, and the chance to rebuild their lives.
Christmas should be a time for family, love, and safety. But for too many, it’s the hardest time of year.
That’s why we’re stepping up - quite literally - to make a difference.
Our goal is to raise £1,000+, which will go directly towards helping the refuge continue its life-changing work - from providing essentials to giving children something to smile about on Christmas morning.
Every step we take represents strength, resilience, and hope.
And every penny raised helps someone believe in a brighter future.
If you can, please donate or share our page to spread the word.
Together, we can make this walk mean something far bigger than miles on a map - we can change lives ❤️
