Story
This year I am running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for a very special reason - Ralph.
Ralph is my son’s best friend. He was born with Transposition of the Great Arteries, a serious heart condition where the main arteries leaving the heart are reversed. From the moment he was born, he needed immediate, intensive, life-saving care.
Thanks to the incredible team at Evelina Children’s Hospital, Ralph received the urgent treatment he needed to survive. Today he is 9 years old — happy, active and enjoying life. But his journey isn’t over, and he will need further treatment as he grows.
I’m running to support Ralph, and all the babies and families who rely on the extraordinary care provided by Evelina. The work they do saves lives and gives children the chance to grow up and thrive.
Evelina is a specialist children's hospital in London, part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. It provides world-class care for children with complex and rare conditions.
My goal is to raise £25,000 for The Evelina London Children’s Charity to help fund the life-saving treatment, research and support that families need during the most frightening moments of their lives.
If you’re able to donate, every contribution — big or small — will make a real difference.
Thank you for supporting Ralph, Evelina, and the many children whose lives depend on their care.
Thank you
James
