Team: Berkeley Group Peak District Challenge 2025

Edale Skyline Challenge · 27 September 2025

Change of Scene provides an outdoor learning environment for young people from Surrey and Hampshire who are struggling in education. With 1-2-1 care they learn animal care, gardening, carpentry, cooking and craft. We build self-esteem and resilience to help them cope with all of life's challenges.

Story

“Even when schools don’t want me - Change of Scene welcomes me back - and they don’t judge me.”

In support of kids who have been let down by the wider education system, together with 16 colleagues from Berkeley Group, I will be taking on the "Edale Skyline Challenge" in the Peak District on 27th September.

As a 24 mile trek, climbing 1,500 metres ... in the UK ... the degree of challenge will be heavily dictated by the Great British weather - so we can safely assume it's going to be tough. The route takes us through the heart of the Peak District and will encompass the formidable peaks of Win Hill, Brown Knoll, Rushup Edge, Mam Tor, and Lose Hill.

Change of Scene help build self-esteem and resilience in vulnerable kids that struggle to cope in the normal school environment. Please could you consider sponsoring a small amount to make a difference.
