Story

Hi I’m James, in January 2024 I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Type 3a.

It came as an enormous shock that at 44 years old i would be diagnosed with cancer but with the absolutely amazing help and care of everyone in the Rainbow Unit of Basingstoke Hospital I am now 5 months in remission and able to continue living my life to its fullest.

I owe everyone such a massive debt not only those directly involved in my treatment and recovery but also all of those patients who have come before and those of us who are yet to come.

The cost of chemotherapy in the UK is expensive if one chooses to go privately. The cost varies hugely with individual medical needs but a single round of chemotherapy can cost up to £30,000. Indeed, chemotherapy costs the NHS an estimated £1.4 billion a year. (Go Fund Me)

Your donation will help to provide therapies and support to local cancer patients, their families and loved ones need and deserve.

Core treatments together with complementary therapies will be provided in a calm and uplifting environment.

Follow our new project Ark Oncology Unit where we refurbish the Oncology Unit as Basingstoke Hospital to provide a modern 5* facility for North Hampshire Cancer Patients. ( Autumn 2023-Summer 2024)
