I am taking part in the annual fundraiser swim from Kyleakin to Kyle of Lochalsh, a distance of around 750 metres across the straits between the Isle of Skye and the mainland. This year this sponsored event is raising vital funds to support the renovation of Lochalsh Leisure Centre, which was tragically damaged by fire and closed down nearly a year ago.
