Yup...after being taken off a bike by the trip doctor for overheating when tackling the hills in Taiwan and passing out in Kenya, guess what...I've signed up again. This time our destination is Vietnam. Think heat, poorly maintained roads, the biggest climb of any trip yet and lots of gravel and dusty roads. This will be another big challenge at over 400km!

But you've heard me say it before and you'll hear me say it again, the pain and relentless training for months before hand is so worth it knowing that it is all for two unbelievably worthwhile charities - The Licensed Trade Charity and Only a Pavement Away.

In my younger days I worked with a number of charities and saw first hand how donations can be wasted through punchy CEO salaries, money being diverted to the wrong places and overhead costs. I work directly with both of these wonderful charities as an advisor and can personally attest to the important work that both do, the impact they make and the focus on making every £ donated work hard.

These charities really do work tirelessly to provide support, assistance, and opportunities to vulnerable individuals within the hospitality industry, including those facing poverty, homelessness, and other challenges.
