It's been a while since I've done a sponsored run and I can say with certainty this is my first sponsored Dragon Boat Race! A strange "biathlon" that hasn't yet hit the Olympics but it can only be a matter of time.

I'm doing these events, alongside a brilliant team from Menzies LLP's Solent office, to raise money for Sophie's Legacy - a fantastic local charity set up to support families who end up in hospital with their child. You can read Sophie's story here - as a Dad to two daughters I can tell you I found it heartbreaking and inspiring in equal measure. They do such important work and we are proud to support them.

The Dragon Boat Race is taking place on 7th September 2024 and The Great South Run is on 20th October 2024. The latter is a famous 10 miler around Portsmouth, the former I have no idea about but am confident it will be hard work and I'll end up in the water at least once.
