James Harris is raising money for The Health Tree Foundation

100km Hospital Run · 6 September 2025

The Health Tree Foundation is the charity for the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. Your help means we can provide acute hospital and community services to a population of over 400,000 people across North and North East Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire

Story

Last summer, dad spent 55 days in intensive care battling pneumonia, organ failure, and undergoing open-heart surgery. After 98 days he finally returned home. Thanks to the incredible care of the Grimsby ITU team, he made a remarkable recovery. To give back, I’d like to raise £10,000 —£100 for each day he spent in ITU/hospital — to help Grimsby ITU purchase much-needed medical equipment for critically ill patients.

On 6th September 2025, I’ll run over 100km, retracing dad’s hospital journey from Louth County Hospital to Grimsby Hospital, Castle Hill, and back to Grimsby. I hope friends and family will join me—running, biking, walking, or cheering me on.

It was a difficult summer for all, but none the less for Dad, who finally came home to us all after 98 days in hospital.

Please donate to support this vital cause and make a difference for future patients.
