Run

When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

A small group of keen (and less keen) runners are going to run a continuous relay between Glasgow airport and each hospital helipad in the Glasgow area. The distance that we will cover is approximately 240km, which is the distance from Glasgow to Campbeltown on running trails.

With it being a continuous relay, it will involve an element of sleep deprivation to make sure we don't enjoy the run.

Why you ask?

Well we are asking the same question.

Our Paramedic colleague and friend at ScotSTAR had a stroke recently, he has helped countless people over the years both in his time working on an Ambulance, and latterly as part of the air wing in Glasgow.

We want to show our support to him and help some of the people who have helped him and his family by raising money for the Stroke Association charity.

Please dig deep and sponsor us for this excellent cause.
