Chester Ultra 100 · 29 May 2023

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

We finished running just under 110 miles doing the Chester 100 on 28/05/23. This took just under 27.5 hours , on Saturday we had peak temperatures of 23°C. Running through pain and blown up ankles, knees and every other bone in our body's. For training we ran marathons, the sandstone trail(35 M), the lap around Windermere (47) and hours on end of running.

In November 2014 Aidan Carroll was given the news that a tumour had grown in his foot (Ewing’s sarcoma). Over the year Aidan’s health worsened, I’m proud to say his spirit and happiness didn’t. On the 13th December 2015, 6 days after his 17th birthday, Aidan passed away at home around his loving Mum Jenny and step Dad.Sadly on the 23/03/2020 Jenny passed away with breast cancer. Jenny was the strongest and most supportive mum and wife (to Ian) in the world. Jenny has been a mum to me and all my friends.

I've always tried to push my self to the extreme to raise money for charity in memory of my best friend and his Mum.

Shares would be appreciated and donations would truly make a difference. I've seen it and this is why I want to help.

Many thanks from James and Dom. X
