adidas Manchester Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

We’re here to support young adults who have experienced the loss of one or both parents, as well as helping their family, friends, educational establishments and businesses to support them better.

Story

***Due to injury I’ve had to withdraw from the Manchester marathon. Instead I’ll be running the Yorkshire Marathon on the 19th October for Its Time.***

I’m running the Yorkshire Marathon for Its Time.

In the UK 1 in 7 people will lose a parent by the age of 30 and 39% of bereaved people reported difficulties in getting support from friends or family. It’s Time believes young people deserve more. It’s Time exist to make the world a better place for young adults who’ve experienced the loss of a parent. It’s Time to make the world a better place for young people who have lost a parent.

This charity stood out for me because I suddenly lost my Dad who passed away when I was just 16. Since then, I’ve come across a fair few people that have also lost a parent at a young age. Having the support It’s Time provides back then, I feel would’ve helped me process the sudden loss better.

Therefore, to be able to support and raise the awareness of Its Time, for other young adults going through this trauma, is for me a no brainer.
